Job description

About the Role :

The Acquisition Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's strategic goals by identifying, analyzing, and recommending potential acquisition opportunities. This position involves conducting thorough market research and financial analysis to assess the viability and potential return on investment of various acquisition targets. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop acquisition strategies that align with the company's objectives. Additionally, the role requires the preparation of detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. Ultimately, the Acquisition Analyst contributes to the growth and sustainability of the organization through informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Experience with FEMA, NOAA or Coast Guard operations.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions or corporate development.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the acquisition process.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends.
  • Analyze financial statements and performance metrics of potential acquisitions to assess their value and risks.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for senior management.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to evaluate the feasibility of proposed acquisitions.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of acquired entities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Skills :

    The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities, which are essential for evaluating financial data and market trends. Proficiency in financial modeling is utilized daily to create projections and assess the potential impact of acquisitions. Effective communication skills are necessary for preparing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders. Additionally, collaboration skills are important as the analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of acquisition opportunities. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with regulatory compliance, enhance the analyst's ability to navigate the complexities of the acquisition process.

    Location : On-site at offices located in the National Capital Region, primarily Washington, DC. Telework may be authorized.
