Job description

Business Development Representative (BDR)

ALICE is one of the fastest-growing companies in the construction technology space, and we're looking for a high-energy, driven, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). At ALICE, you'll play an essential role in identifying and engaging with prospective customers and generating qualified leads that you'll then share with our account executives.

ALICE Technologies is the world's first AI construction simulation and optimization platform. We leverage the computational power of AI to generate the best schedules and solutions for complex projects at each stage of the project lifecycle, from bidding, to preconstruction and through execution. With ALICE, contractors and owners can bid, plan, and build more effectively. When a project team uses ALICE, they are able to drastically reduce risk of delay or cost overrun, while accelerating construction durations by an average of 16.2% and reducing labor costs by 14.7%, resulting in millions of dollars in savings.

What you'll do

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and arrange sales meetings for ALICE account executives
  • Interact with prospects via phone, Zoom, LinkedIn, and email
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to create opportunities
  • Create and optimize outreach sequences for email and LinkedIn. Create sequences to support the sales team during follow-up.
  • Relay qualified opportunities to appropriate AE, educating each rep as necessary about the situation
  • Effectively overcome prospect objections.
  • Become a trusted resource and develop productive relationships with prospects
  • Update lead scoring and prospect interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generating targets to help ALICE achieve its revenue goals.
  • Provide feedback to marketing management to ensure continuous process optimization

What you'll need to succeed

  • Self-starter with a track record of successful lead follow-up and sales development
  • Ability to qualify opportunities effectively
  • Good time management skills
  • You're goal-oriented and a team player
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and diplomacy in all interactions
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (e.g. Zoom; Google Workplace)
  • Sales training and CRM software experience a plus
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • A desire to grow into a senior selling role
  • Outgoing and friendly - you are easy to talk to
