Job descriptionBachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or proven equivalent work experience. 5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience. 5+ years of experience in software development methodologies, like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. 3+ years of experience collaborating closely with API developers to ensure the defined APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements. 3+ years of experience creating clear, concise, and comprehensive data flow diagrams. 5+ years of experience identifying and gathering business and functional requirements for complex software solutions. 5+ years of experience working as a liaison between the business partners and development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet the business needs. 3+ years of experience working with Lucidchart to create process flows, screen designs, and user story maps. Experience defining API service calls, including the format and content of incoming requests and outgoing responses. Advanced knowledge of requirements elicitation techniques, business modeling, and use case design concepts, information systems, and software development life cycles. Ability to travel to meet with stakeholders and gather requirements.
Job Summary :
The Senior Technical Business Analyst acts as a liaison between IT and business partners, focusing on the modernization of court operations through a new Case Management System. This role involves analyzing business issues, defining requirements, creating screen designs, and recommending system controls. The analyst will work closely with end-users to document system requirements, identify project milestones, and develop organizational change management frameworks.
Location : Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Responsibilities :
- Identifying and communicating business needs for multiple / complex software solutions by translating these needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting multiple customers' business requirements for assigned projects / applications.
- Facilitating customer and project team meetings.
- Serving as a liaison between business partners and the development team to provide technical solutions.
- Utilizing requirements elicitation techniques such as facilitated sessions, workshops, interviews, and shadowing.
- Developing, writing, and communicating business and functional requirements and producing requirements documentation.
- Articulating data flow concepts and explaining the purpose and impact of data movement.
- Creating and maintaining Screen Designs, User Story Maps, and Process Flow diagrams.
- Creating and maintaining User Stories.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
