American Heritage Credit Union, a $4.8+ billion credit union, has an excellent opportunity available for a Project Manager! This position will work in conjunction with management and staff to coordinate projects and recommend process improvements within the credit union.

Employ project management methodologies to facilitate the timely completion of projects. Manage multiple concurrent projects of various levels of complexity which includes managing scope, time, and cost.

Demonstrate competence in the application and use of project management processes, tools, and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

  • Effectively manage projects through the phases of Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing, while facilitating customer acceptance.
  • Guide, direct, and motivate direct reports daily.
  • Effectively participate in evaluating current processes and procedures to identify recommendations for improvement.
  • Produce project status reports and communicate hurdles / roadblocks to achieving project milestones to the project team and different levels of management.
  • Effectively facilitate meetings which includes eliciting information from stakeholders for clarity and to achieve the meeting's objective(s).
  • Establish necessary internal relationships across the credit union to ensure that the appropriate parties are involved in project activities and project related communications.
  • Guide, inspire, and motivate team members and other project stakeholders to manage and overcome issues to effectively achieve project objectives.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure that support and work is performed accurately based on the scope and requirements of the project in a timely manner.
  • Apply an appropriate depth of perception, discernment, and judgment to effectively direct a project in a changing and evolving environment.
  • Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Three to five years of Project Management experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems or Business Administration / Management or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification preferred or in progress.
  • Experience with effectively and comfortably working with Senior Management.
  • Must be a self-starter, possess the ability to take initiative, and produce completed on-time deliverables with limited supervision.
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent analytical and organizational skills necessary for delegating tasks, motivating colleagues, and managing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Highly developed negotiation, listening, team building, influencing, and facilitation skills, and the adaptability to respond to change quickly are required.
  • Proven ability to assess an existing process or procedure to make recommendations for efficiency, improvement, and streamlining.
  • Proven ability to manage change in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization and work both as a member of a team and independently as required.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage tasks / projects with aggressive deadlines / time-sensitivity.
  • Must possess effective analytical / problem solving and research skills.
  • Considerable judgment is required; Must be able to analyze complicated factual situations as well as ambiguous situations, apply logic to understand the need, and develop solutions.
