Our client, a leading and steadily expanding manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Beaverton-based accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every step of the payables process. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key part in maintaining vendor relationships, supporting daily operations, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within a collaborative finance department.

Key Responsibilities : Accounts Payable Specialist

Process and code a high volume of invoices accurately within the ERP system, ensuring timely approval and payment.

Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining open communication.

Prepare and process weekly payments, including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers.

Reconcile vendor accounts and assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.

Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to verify purchase order matching, job costing, and proper expense coding.

Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9s, insurance certificates, and compliance documents.

Contribute to ongoing improvement of AP processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications : Accounts Payable Specialist

Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment.

Proficiency with ERP systems (such as Sage, Oracle, or NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.

Understanding of purchase order matching and general accounting principles.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle high-volume workflows.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
