SCHEDULE : Full Time

TRAVEL REQUIRED : 0% - 25%

COMPENSATION : $51,790.00 to $95,645.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Farm Credit Mid-America / Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

Applicants must be willing to spend approximately the first 30 to 60 days in Louisville training. Trainees are considered full-time employees;

however, they will be expected to apply for a full-time Rural 1st Loan Officer position across our region of AR, IN, KY, OH and TN within the first 12 months of employment.

About Our Opportunity

The Rural 1st Loan Officer Trainee (RLO Trainee) will gain knowledge, skills, ability, and experience to become a fully-functional Rural 1st Loan Officer.

This is a sales position responsible for building relationships with customers in the consumer market segment.

How You Will Spend Your Time

As an RLO Trainee, you will learn what is necessary to originate credit including assessing customer needs; determining how to meet those needs and obtaining financial information to determine the viability and profitability of consumer mortgage applications.

Working closely with your leader / development partner, you will learn how to build professional relationships and to identify credit strengths / opportunities, while providing sound product / service recommendations that meet the customer’s goals.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture or related field.

While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds.

Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage.

Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
