Job descriptionProvide post-operative cardiac surgery ICU care for stepdown patients Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, thoracic surgeons, ICU attendings, and residents Manage an average daily census of 4-8 patients, with less than one surgery per day Perform procedures including central line placement, atrial line placement, chest tube removal, and pacer wire removal Deliver care in an ICU environment Active Ohio license required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience preferred No operating room time required Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 130-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers a flexible weekday schedule with options for five 8-hour shifts (8am-4pm) or four 10-hour shifts in a Cardiac Surgery ICU.
