Compensation : $78,500-98,500 annually $37.74-47.36 hourly
Travel Requirements : local travel as required

POSITION SUMMARY
The BWPC Public Health Nurse is concerned with the wellness of the community as a whole and works with BWPC leadership to set local priorities for health-related interventions to provide the greatest benefit to the highest number of people possible with addressing Black racial disparities as a priority.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to :
- Provides direct services; monitors after administration of clinical services
- Supports development of and reviews education content for clinical accuracy
- Collaborate across all organizational programs to ensure participants are receiving the highest quality of care and appropriate clinical referrals
- Oversee internal and external referrals to ensure participants are receiving appropriate screenings, referrals and supportive services
- Support community health education campaigns and disease prevention activities, such as immunizations and screenings
- Work with BWPC leadership to Identify health risk factors unique to specific communities
- Facilitate clinical topics for doula trainings
- Facilitate clinical topics of SIM Lab scenarios
- In partnership with the Doula Education Coordinator, support components of the BLACK Doula Network, including facilitation, coordination of doula practical hours, including support hours and hospital observations
- Reviews birth plans in partnership with doulas
- Provides public health education
- Serves as liaison between BWPC and county health departments
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Other duties and trainings as required
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Advanced written communication skills and use of spoken and written English
- Superior intrapersonal and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, email, calendar software, and other communications software
- Proficient in learning and mastering new software
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Excellent collaboration skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Public Health Nurse, BSN with experience in maternal child health, communicable disease or related experience
- Preferred - Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience

BWPC frequently conducts work in hospital and clinic settings and may offer on-site healthcare services, such as COVID-19 testing.
May be required to work at other locations within the community. Ability to consistently reach the worksite, meetings, and events on time and prepared to work.
SALARY
Exempt / Non-exempt Salary / hourly available. Pay grade VI. $78,500-98,500 annually or $37.74-47.36 hourly based on skills and experience
