Chemours is seeking a TAX ANALYST to join our growing FINANCE team. This position will be available at the WILMINGTON, DE (HYBRID) and report directly to the Tax Manager.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparation of US taxable income calculations
- Preparation of quarterly and annual US income tax provision
- Preparation of quarterly state and local tax estimates and annual extensions
- Annual preparation of tax basis balance sheet calculation and return-to-accrual processes
- Assisting with federal and state tax controversy for income taxes
- Assisting with tax planning and other special projects, as needed
- Performing research as needed on state and local income tax law changes and their impact on the state tax position of the organization
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to better leverage department resources
In order to be qualified for this role, the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree, CPA and/or MST preferred
- 1+ years tax experience in a Big 4/regional accounting firm and/or multi-national corporate tax department with a focus in income taxes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Good communication (verbal and written), organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently on tasks and projects, while also collaborating with peers in a team-oriented environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
The following skills are by the business unit:
- Working knowledge of OneSource Income Tax & OneSource Tax Provision
- Experience leveraging technology (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) to develop innovative solutions within a tax environment
- Familiarity with US international tax concepts (GILTI, Subpart F, etc.)
