Job descriptionProvide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their animal's condition and treatment options. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized. Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology. Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment. Other duties as assigned. $18.00 - $26.00 hr. primarily determined by role and experience level. 4 / 10 work week, Friday & Saturday + 2 additional rotating days a week Weekend and holiday flexibility required. General understanding and experience with small animal restraint with a focus on cats and dogs High school diploma Calm, professional demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital. Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy. Understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs) Able to work well independently as well as with a team. Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology. Enrolled in a veterinary technology program. Clinical experience working / interning in a veterinary hospital. Veterinary Assistant – Internal Medicine – Advanced Veterinary Specialists Compensation range :
