Local Restaurant Server/Bartender (Dining Room & Private Events) Sam’s of Gedney Way – White Plains, NY
Location Note: We are located in the Gedney Farms neighborhood of White Plains, NY. This position requires a reliable daily commute to Westchester County. Please only apply if you live within a reasonable driving distance or have reliable transit to this specific area.
The Role We are looking for experienced, professional servers to join our team for floor shifts and private banquet events. We are a busy, neighborhood-staple restaurant. We need people who are naturally friendly, work well with a team, and know how to run a smooth station during high-volume shifts.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an upscale full service or fine dining environment.
F&B Knowledge: Solid, practical knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails. You must be comfortable explaining menu ingredients and pairings to guests.
Pacing & Composure: Ability to stay calm, organized, and polite when the dining room is full and the kitchen is busy.
Versatility: Comfortable moving between standard dinner service and structured private events or banquets.
Professionalism: Polished appearance, on-time for every shift, and open to constructive feedback.
Logistics:
Must have flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends.
Must be able to stand for long shifts and safely lift 50 lbs.
