Position Summary
The Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver is looking to hire industry professionals for the 2023-2024 academic year to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, such as Introduction to Hospitality Management, Sales and Marketing, Special Event Management, Beverage Management, Advanced Bev Management, Wines of the World, Managing a Restaurant Business, Asset Management as well as special-topics courses.
Industry professionals are compensated at a rate of $ per credit hour and may teach up to a maximum of six courses over three academic quarters (Fall, Winter, Spring).
This posting will serve for multiple openings.
Essential Functions
Industry professionals are required to teach twice a week, hold office hours, assign papers and exams as appropriate and be available to assist students with assignments.
The University operates on a quarter system.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Ability to teach at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
College-level teaching experience.
Work Schedule
While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday Friday, 8 : 00 am 4 : 30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas.

Course Rate
The course rate for this position is $1,193 per credit hour taught.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
