What You'll Do as a Transportation Group Manager
Proactively pursue new business with existing and prospective clients by delivering exceptional service. Supporting the development and execution of business plans. Overseeing and coordinating multiple projects, ensuring work is prioritized and deadlines are met. Overseeing project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to ensure successful and timely project delivery. Managing and preparing winning project proposals and serving as primary client contact throughout the process. Proactively monitoring, identifying and resolving technical, schedule or financial issues. Successfully leading and managing a team across multiple locations. Developing and maintaining a high-performing, motivated team with strong morale. Mentoring staff on technical development, leadership, and client relations. Setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, actively coaching and supporting employee growth with career development. Successfully navigating and implementing complex public processes and municipal approvals. Representing Fisher Associates in professional organizations, business boards, and community activities.

Salary Range
$150,000-$195,000 Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications / education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) 15+ years minimum in transportation civil engineering design Professional Engineering License (PE) 10 years minimum of project management experience Prior experience successfully managing and leading a team Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven client relationship and business development success in transportation sector Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads a plus Thorough understanding of all phases of transportation project development and delivery, including NCDOT, agency, and locally administered federal-aid projects. Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, including highway design, permitting, and regulatory standards.
