Job Description
Overview
Provide support to Program Management, Contracting, or Engineering personnel in the areas of : integrated program scheduling, configuration management, finance and accounting, contracting, data analyses, database development or manipulation, preparation of technical / program reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation / verification assistance.
Plan / oversee test or project events as assigned by Program Manager or Engineering supervisor, report status and results.
Interface with Quality, Engineering, Management and Manufacturing for the creation of Travelers and Work Instructions.
Plan / oversee test or project events as assigned by the Quality Manager, reports status and results.
Other duties as assigned.
Managerial Duties
- Creating realistic and accurate job descriptions for your team
- Directing employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job description
- Manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere; work to resolve conflicts
- Conduct ongoing feedback – both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling for improvement if necessary
- Advise management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awards
- Manage accuracy of employee timecards
- Ensure employees receive and perform any required training for both position and company needs
- Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies / processes
- Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate – goals / changes / updates / news
- Coordinate with Director and / or VP on corporate matters
- Other manager duties as assigned
Requirements
Education / Training (both required and desired) :
Bachelor's Degree in management or other relevant discipline requiredExperience
2+ years of professional experience in the required task areaExperience in working with aerospace specifications and drawingsExperience supporting aerospace manufacturing processes with the necessary materials, tooling, and equipmentExperience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvementAS9100 Interpretation, application, and auditing experienceExperience performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirementsExtensive experience with chairing Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board activitiesExperience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes that optimize program execution while driving out risk.Experience working with Government customers and DCMA / USAF QAE (Quality Assurance Evaluator) entitiesFamiliar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment and PropertyExperience in establishing Performance Metrics and perform the required analysis to identify process improvementsExperience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), both from the Process and Design perspectivesSecurity
