Our client is a leading Financial Services firm seeking a Commercial Transaction Manager to join their growing team!

The Transaction Manager is an energetic powerhouse responsible for spearheading and executing real estate transactions with skillful precision.

They are the glue that holds every deal together, meticulously overseeing all documentation, critical dates, and escrow / title matters.

Responsibilities :

Coordinating transactions : You will coordinate all aspects of transactions, liaising with parties involved, and managing the process to completion.

This will include managing critical dates, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and releasing contingencies.

Managing third-party reports : You will be responsible for overseeing the hiring of all third-party reports, including survey, PCA, environmental, zoning, and more.

You will coordinate onsite visits for third parties and create data rooms.

Maintaining critical dates : You will be responsible for maintaining critical dates and ensuring that the company adheres to them.

You will execute deposits and follow up with individuals as needed to ensure that all deadlines are met, and contingencies are released.

Acting as the key contact with Escrow / title : You will be the main point of contact with Escrow / title, ensuring timely completion of all required tasks.

This includes setting up escrow, reviewing the title, submitting items for escrow, and reviewing the settlement statement.

  • Overseeing 1031 transfers : You will set up transfer of funds to / from accommodator and oversee the process.
  • Managing insurance : You will play a key role in the annual renewal of insurance, ensuring that insurance requirements of new and existing loans are consistent with insurance policies and acting as a key conduit between lender, owner, and insurance broker.

You will also manage all insurance claims, including submitting claims and coordinating with carriers and their chosen attorneys to oversee insurance-related litigation.

  • Assisting with ad hoc property management, asset management, finance, and accounting needs : You will assist with various property management, asset management, finance, and accounting tasks, including reviewing easements and service contracts.
  • Overall, your responsibilities involve ensuring timely and accurate completion of all aspects of transactions and managing the process from start to finish.

Preferred Experience :

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, or any related field.
  • Relevant experience in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing, is usually required.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including legal, financial, and regulatory aspects.
  • Familiarity with legal documents, contracts, and agreements involved in real estate transactions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and effective communication abilities to interact with stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing transaction documentation and identifying potential risks.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex transaction structures and assess risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of real estate transactions, including knowledge of the legal, financial, and regulatory aspects involved.

They should be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also important for evaluating complex transaction structures and assessing risks and opportunities.

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Candidates should have familiarity with the legal documents, contracts, and agreements involved in real estate transactions and adhere to ethical standards and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
