Pre-Closing Team Lead
General Description Of Position
The Pre-Closing Team Lead assists the Director of Loan Operations and Assistant Manager in supporting pre-closing staff and retail and commercial loan origination through effective and timely vendor management and documentation. The incumbent assures compliance with bank lending, departmental policies and procedures, and federal and state regulations. This position will also ensure all loans are properly documented to meet state and federal requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Managing & monitoring staff to ensure all loan application are complete for data to be entered into the documentation system to meet or exceed all Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This duty is performed daily, about 80% of the time.
2. Managing & monitoring staff to ensure all documents meet policy and compliance guidelines before they are delivered for closing. This duty is performed daily, about 80% of the time.
3. Managing & monitoring staff to ensure all customer service opportunities are handled accurately and professionally. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.
4. Provide training to staff. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.
5. Completes required BSA / AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed annually, about 10% of the time.
6. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily, about 100% of the time.
7. Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to pre-closing functions.
8. Assists in maintaining work schedules & rotation of duties.
9. Serves as back-up to the Assistant Manager-Pre-closing for scheduling & approving time off requests and payroll approval.
10. Serves as back-up as administrator for key operating programs such as LaserPro, Vendor Order Database, etc.
11. Assists with special projects as needed.
12. Assists in developing enhanced systems and procedures training.
13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications

Education And Experience
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and / or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy / procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

Responsibility For Work Of Others
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervises a moderate size group (8-15) of employees engaged in important, complex operations, consisting of employees in different classifications who perform a wide variety of duties.
