Interim Finance Lead
Our client, a Software Development company, is looking for an Interim Finance Lead to support their team in a variety of responsibilities during a time of company growth.
This opportunity is 100% remote, however, PST working hours preferred. This project will have a duration of 3-4 months. This position will report to the Fractional CFO and Advisor.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Our client needs support in providing the executive leadership team with the reporting they need to make strategic business decisions.
This person will provide interim support and oversight, and will work closely with the fractional CFO to onboard and ramp a VP of Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide interim support overseeing the company’s financial operations, including FP&A (1 FP&A Manager) and Accounting team (Controller 2 Accounting Staff)
- FP&A / Executive Support : Oversee FP&A manager to improve the company's financial model, review updates to financial outlook based on monthly performance, and analyze monthly financial and business metrics to drive key-decision making across the organization Support senior leadership team, improving and monitoring KPIs, and partnering with business leaders to ensure visibility into performance / key metrics Lead board meeting preparation, monthly investor updates, and address investor queries promptly and accurately
- Accounting / Financial Operations (as experience warrants) : Review month end financial close, including international consolidations, month end reconciliations, accruals, payroll / commissions, AP / AR, and contract negotiations.
Oversee cash management and cash forecasting / analysis Oversee additional areas including tax filings, 409a valuation, insurance, and equity
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar quantitative field Advanced degree or certifications are highly preferred (CPA, MBA, etc.
8-10 years of experience leading FP&A / Finance Recent experience within a growing Series A Series D VC-backed start-up with $20M - $100M in ARR is required.
Experience within a B2B SaaS environment is required, with a solid understanding of SaaS metrics / KPIs
- Highly analytical and data-oriented - comfortable diving into data to improve automation, uncover insights and inform strategy
- Systems-savvy, highly proficient in financial modelling; expertise with Google Sheets (or excel) Additional systems experience with Lookr is nice to have
- Excellent communicator, capable of distilling complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for different audiences;
able to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels with confidence and clarity; able to connect business objectives and financial outcomes.
