Primary Purpose :
Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. This position is responsible for tracking student attendance records including court referrals and truancy at the secondary level.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing
Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance
Ability to meet established deadlines
Above average oral and written communication skills
Experience :
Three years clerical experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties :
Records and Reports
1. Issues absence and tardy slips to students during the first hour of the day.
2. Assists in the collection of attendance reports from the classroom.
3. Assists in keeping of daily attendance sheets and tardiness record.
4. Confers with parents on daily absences and makes telephone calls when necessary.
5. Refers to the Head Attendance Clerk those cases of chronic absenteeism, tardiness, or truancy.
6. Receives and routes all incoming calls.
7. Maintains required students' enrollment and attendance records.
8. Informs the visiting teacher(s) of chronic absenteeism.
9. Makes arrangements for visiting teacher(s).
10. Adds new students and withdraws students on the computer.
11. Inputs attendance records on all students on Region 20 system.
12. Types memos for Assistant Principal.
13. Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
14. Keeps informed of and complies with state and district policies and regulations.

15. Assist in campus office as needed.
16. Participates in training sessions, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
17. Maintain confidentiality.
18. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
19. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the campus principal or designee.
