Financial Manager, Services FP&A

The Financial Manager will be an integral part of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within the Services and Infrastructure Finance organization and work on automation, developing financial tools, and improving processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and insight generation. This position will be responsible for streamlining reporting processes, developing scalable financial models, tracking budgets, managing accrual postings, and enabling data-driven decision-making through innovative automation and analytical solutions.
Description
This role requires managing a team of individual contributors to manage the organizations priorities, ensuring alignment across teams, driving critical initiatives, and support automation of projects to eliminate inefficiencies, improve quarter end close, accruals, reporting, and enhance scalability across the Services Product landscape. Partners with Services Finance controllers and team including Apple Media Products (App Store, Music, Card, iCloud, etc.) and Search Ads among others, to identify, analyze, and solve challenging strategic and operational issues to improve both top and bottom line of the limited product financials. Looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical capabilities, superior financial / quantitative horsepower, and a deep interest in Apple's services, products, business, and strategy to help achieve our financial and business objectives. This position will also handle extremely confidential information and carry a very high level of responsibility and exposure.
Responsibilities
Team Management-Responsible for managing team and workload. Guide the work of the Service Finance team, setting expectations and deadlines of projects, reviewing work, and providing feedback. Build capabilities of individuals and teams through employee development, involvement, communication, and coaching.
Design and implement automation solutions to simplify and accelerate recurring financial reporting and analytics.
Project management and presentation to leadership team, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.
Ensure actions are tracked and completed. Source and curate content for regular activity reports.
Build dashboards and self-service reporting tools using platforms such as Excel, Tableau, Data IQ, AI tools.
Develop financial models and templates to standardize business reporting and improve accuracy for Revenue, Cost of goods sold, and Opex.
Leverage scripting (e.g., VBA, SQL, Python) or low-code automation platforms to reduce manual effort.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, enhance data integrity, and strengthen internal controls.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve visibility into service cost and profitability metrics.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure alignment between finance systems and reporting requirements.
Be an active team player in the Services and Infrastructure FP&A team, striding for excellence, with desire to foster innovation while working on special projects directed by senior leadership.
Lead initiatives to streamline accrual posting, budget tracking, and reporting workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of work experience in strategy, finance, or business development role with minimum 2 years of people management.
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or other quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of complex and diverse digital services business models, including subscriptions, content creation, and Apple Ads, and their direct impact on revenue recognition processes.
Experience managing relationships and working cross-functionally within global organizations.
Familiarity with scripting languages (VBA, SQL, Python).
Perform quantitative and financial analyses with exceptional attention to detail and provide in-depth business insight.
Strong business acumen, with high intellectual curiosity and deep interest in Apples products, services, technology, business, and strategy.
Ability to work with high level of ambiguity and complexity.
Team player / interpersonal savvy who works across teams to solve complex issues and strives for excellence.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and confidence to present findings in a simplistic manner.
Excellent analytical, project modeling, communication, and project management skills.
Proven experience in process automation, data analytics, or tool development within a finance function.
Passionate about using technology to transform finance processes.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,500 and $274,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs.
