We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and manage our financial operations with precision and efficiency.

Job Summary : The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial transactions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of bookkeeping experience and be highly proficient in both QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) : Manage invoicing, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections. Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) : Process vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding, and manage timely payments. Maintain vendor relationships and reconcile AP accounts.
  • General Ledger Management : Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Record journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closings.
  • QuickBooks Expertise : Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions to manage all financial transactions, generate reports, and ensure data integrity. Troubleshoot and resolve any QuickBooks-related issues.
  • Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Provide insights to management for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Payroll Processing : Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Bank Reconciliations : Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Tax Compliance : Assist with the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Coordinate with external accountants as needed.
  • Inventory Tracking : Monitor and reconcile inventory-related transactions to support the company’s generator sales and service operations.
  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of full charge bookkeeping experience, preferably in a service or product-based industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions, with a proven ability to manage complex financial data.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in the generator, construction, or service industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting.
  • Certification in QuickBooks or related accounting software.

    Compensation : $26.00 per hour
