The MITRE Corporate Contracts Division is seeking a Strategic Contracts Operations Planning and Technology Lead to modernize and transform the contracts operations functions to meet long-term operational needs for the organization. This position will work closely with the Director of Contracts and contracts leadership to achieve organizational operational objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract Business Tools and Processes to support the full contracts lifecycle for the MITRE Corporate Contracts organization. This includes but, not limited to :
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic planning, program management, or business transformation within a government contracting environment. Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and driving business transformation. Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, quality assurance, and financial principles. Knowledge of FAR and supplemental agency clauses (i.e. DFAR) impacting full contract lifecycle. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in contract management, acquisition management, or related legal fields (e.g., MS, JD, MLS), providing expertise in contract law, negotiations, compliance, and risk management. Professional certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP). Demonstrated experience leveraging technology automation and artificial intelligence, including large language models, to drive operational efficiencies and manage contract workflows effectively within a dynamic, evolving environment and smaller teams.
