Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and inspires young entrepreneurs by providing accessible step-by-step guides, hosting events and workshops, and promoting peer mentorship and development in a community setting. We are 100% volunteer-run, and offer all our resources for free online.

Our team at Pitch Labs is working to make entrepreneurship accessible. We strive to redefine who can be an entrepreneur, highlighting that being an entrepreneur is not about having a specific degree but pursuing one's innate curiosity to learn and develop. We intend to rewrite the narrative of what a successful business and entrepreneur looks like, recognizing that struggles are simply steps to success. We want to help students understand both the value of always being a mentor and mentee and the value of harnessing their creativity regardless of what career they pursue in the future.

What We Need : As a

content marketing specialist , you play a critical role in shaping Pitch Labs' external communications strategy by coming up with engaging content that will link to startup initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of expanding access and awareness of entrepreneurship in high schools nationwide.

Qualifications :

Content marketing experience.

Experience in Google Ads and other paid ads content development.

Experience in SEO.

Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.

Experience with content management systems.

Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design.

Creative strategy experience around brand / tone / messaging, or interest in this area.

Duties / Tasks / Responsibilities :

Leverage Pitch Labs content assets to create a content strategy that promotes Pitch Labs value proposition and improved user engagement.

Create and manage content marketing programs aligning with organizational goals.

Write engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, websites, and social media posts.

Develop content that resonates with the target audience, conveying the nonprofit’s mission and programs effectively.

Craft stories that highlight the impact of the nonprofit’s work, showcasing success stories, testimonials, and case studies.

Ensure all written content adheres to the nonprofit’s brand voice and style guidelines, maintaining a consistent tone across all communications.

Review and edit content produced by other team members to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Proofread all materials before publication or distribution to eliminate errors and enhance the overall quality of the content.

Time Commitment :

THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact.

Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for at least the next 6 months.

As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment, that you do not proceed with our application further. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects / deadlines that team members are working on.

We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc., as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.
