Senior Business Systems Analyst
The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyzes business and information needs to design optimal systems solutions. Working under minimal supervision, the analyst develops solutions that meet business needs and align with the organization's overall information systems architecture. The role also recommends improvements to existing IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
- Recommends solutions or improvements to business processes that can be achieved through new technology or by repurposing existing technology.
- Translates business requirements into application requirements and collaborates with the team to ensure successful application deployment.
- Engages client teams, explains moderately complex initiatives, and addresses client concerns.
- Estimates costs of system solutions and prepares project plans to aid decisions on project prioritization and IT resource allocation.
- Prepares and maintains technical documentation to support system users and facilitate ongoing operation, maintenance, and development.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
Educational Requirements
University degree preferred.Minimum Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in business systems analysis.Experience in the financial services or banking industry.Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an AML Business Analyst and Data Analyst in Actimize Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, and / or KYC projects.Strong background in business requirements and data analysis, including AML Transaction Monitoring, KYC, and Sanctions Screening.Deep understanding of data analysis, data mapping, business and UI / UX requirements documentation, and close collaboration with development teams.Extensive knowledge of Actimize software and the ActOne case management system.Proficiency in analyzing and mapping data from source systems to target data models.Experience in developing data mapping documents and defining data transformation logic.Proven experience in developing Functional Specification Documents.Hands-on experience with AML monitoring tools such as Actimize, Oracle, SAS, etc.Expertise in analyzing various types of transactional data.Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and debugging.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.Work Experience
