Manager, Program Data
The Manager, Program Data will be responsible for oversight of the Division of HIV and Hepatitis Health Care (DHHHC) data collection systems used in program management, contract monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to federal and state funders. The incumbent will support Division leadership with activities in conducting program evaluation and contract monitoring associated with HIV / HCV and Clinical Prevention programs. The incumbent will oversee the preparation of data for grant reporting, internal and external presentations, and publications to document and showcase outcomes (i.e., journals, conference abstracts, manuscripts, etc.). The Manager, Program Data will participate in developing, designing, and publishing reports in the SAP BI system, as well as contributing to the development of reports in the External Reporting Application (ERA) for use by funded providers.
Responsibilities also include working with other programs, units, and staff in support of quality improvement activities related to Ryan White programs and evaluation projects. The Manager, Program Data will also participate in the development of metrics associated with Ending Epidemics initiatives, coordinate and collaborate across divisions to analyze data and conduct and support projects that improve evaluation efforts, including development and implementation of training. Other appropriate related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications : A Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of data management experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. At least two years of experience must include program management and / or supervision of staff. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience.
Preferred Qualifications : At least one year of experience performing HIV related data analysis / management. At least one year experience with large data sets in relational databases and using reporting software to write data queries, build reports, and present the results. At least one year of experience in technical assistance to public health / human services programs.
Conditions of Employment : Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states : New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
