Job description

Job Title

Job Description: Pay Range: $32hr - $38hr

The Buying Professional 2 will support procurement operations by managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier coordination. The role involves ensuring compliance with procurement policies, managing the lifecycle of materials and parts, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate documentation and procurement records.

Requirement/Must Have

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Recent experience working with the SAP Purchasing Module.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of purchase order processes and part lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Experience collaborating with supplier quality engineering and quality teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support occasional early meetings.

Experience

  • Experience managing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in enterprise systems.
  • Experience tracking material availability and managing order lifecycle processes.
  • Experience working with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Experience maintaining procurement documentation and records.
  • Experience supporting procurement operations and supply chain activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related procurement transactions.
  • Process purchase requisitions in accordance with approval thresholds and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure required information is properly documented.
  • Analyze material availability and manage the full lifecycle of orders including shipping, tracking, and delivery verification.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy and manage return processes when required.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approved supplier agreements.
  • Support initiatives to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Manage part revisions and coordinate implementation of related rework activities.
  • Maintain proper document archiving in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes.
  • Communicate relevant procurement information to stakeholders to maintain alignment and visibility.
  • Support daily operational procurement activities including purchase order management.
