Job Description:
As a Business Analyst, you will support software development and technology initiatives by serving as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements while ensuring successful project delivery using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a technical background to support complex IT projects and SaaS implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform business analysis activities including problem identification, opportunity assessment, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder management.
- Gather, document, analyze, validate, and manage business and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Create process models, workflow diagrams, specifications, data flows, and documentation to support solution design and development activities.
- Develop and facilitate peer reviews of business and technical requirements to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
- Track and manage requirements traceability throughout project execution and delivery.
- Communicate requirement changes, enhancements, risks, and solutions to stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
- Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project resources.
- Partner with business analysts, data analysts, architects, developers, and governance teams to ensure comprehensive requirements coverage.
- Develop user acceptance testing strategies, test scenarios, and validation criteria.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and business validation sessions.
- Support software development projects utilizing Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Provide project insights, requirement status updates, and business analysis deliverables to project leadership.
- Assist with organizational change initiatives, process improvements, and implementation activities.
- Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and consistently throughout project execution.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development and IT projects.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing both business and technical requirements.
- Proven ability to lead business and technical stakeholders through requirements discovery and analysis activities.
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow modeling, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience creating process flows, system diagrams, specifications, and business documentation using tools such as Visio.
- Experience developing and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, test scenarios, and validation activities.
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies and the ability to apply them appropriately.
- Experience using requirements management and project tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, architecture, data, and governance groups.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to represent project teams effectively in leadership meetings and stakeholder forums.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong adaptability and ability to quickly learn new business processes, technologies, and systems.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
