Coordinate and support implementation of VDMC educational and training programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives for diverse audiences, including expanding engagement and partnerships.
Lead and coordinate instructional design efforts across projects, aligning learning objectives, competencies, and assessment approaches.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (researchers, developers, educators, subject matter experts) to ensure alignment between content, technology, and learning outcomes.
Support integration of instructional strategies within research and evaluation activities, contributing to study design and data-informed improvements.
Contribute to project coordination, including timelines, deliverables, and documentation.
Support proposal development and dissemination activities (reports, presentations, educational materials) through instructional design input and educational planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Learning Sciences, Curriculum/Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
3-5 years' experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or education/training program.
Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning theories, ability to translate concepts into structured learning experiences, experience working collaboratively in team-based environments, strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across projects.
Ability to work across diverse educational contexts and with varied stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with technology-enhanced learning environments (, simulations, digital tools), familiarity with competency-based education and workforce training models, understanding of assessment and evaluation methods for learning outcomes, knowledge of maritime, manufacturing, and/or technical trades environments.
Master’s degree in Learning Sciences, Curriculum/Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
5-10 years' experience supporting research, grant-funded projects, or workforce development programs.
