Position Summary :
The successfulapplicant will analyze High Frequency (HF) radio receiver data and compare itto modeled predictions of HF radio wave propagation characteristics over thecontiguous United States.
Additionally, the successful application will studyspace weather effects on HF radio wave propagation conditions over thecontiguous United States.
Essential Functions :
The preference will be given to a candidate who is experienced,self-motivated, versatile. The ideal candidate will have experience withgeneral telescope and Fabry-Perot Interferometer.
Prerequisite Qualifications :
- Senior Level inphysics undergraduate student or equivalent.
- Advancedknowledge of radio wave propagation physics and ionospheric physics, andadvanced programming ability.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experienceprerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to thesatisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education andexperience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
