Headquarters in Tysons, Virginia, M.C. Dean delivers resilient, secure, and innovative power and technology solutions through engineering expertise and smart systems integration.

The Construction Manager 2 is accountable for day-to-day leadership and management of the project construction site, ensuring the safe and secure operation of the site, maintaining adherence to project controls and scheduling milestones, and upholding Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards. • Executes procurement processes by verifying Bill of Material (BOM) specifications, identifying subcontractor scopes of work, and assisting in the development of subcontractor compliance matrices and selection criteria. Conducts evaluations of subcontractor proposals, maintains change order logs and billings, and implements cost-saving strategies.
  • Executes the development of CPM schedule by collaborating with the project scheduler to define calendars, identify milestones, and establish time constraints. Performs material cost and manpower forecasting by reviewing vendor quotes, understanding equipment needs, and projecting labor requirements. Prepares monthly schedule narratives to track project progress and ensure alignment with baseline schedules.
  • Performs project administration by coordinating and managing project submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports, ensuring timely action, accurate documentation, and alignment with project schedule and specifications.
  • Executes management of project scope changes through accurate identification, description, and tracking of change orders, ensuring alignment with project budgets and profitability targets, while also overseeing risk management activities to mitigate potential impacts on project costs and schedules.
  • Fosters positive client relationships through effective communication, timely issue resolution, and proactive management of scope changes, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
