El Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167-bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Position Summary
The Program Manager oversees the provision and delivery of patient care on the unit. This position is responsible for providing direct care to patients and ensures the individual needs of patients served are met. Duties include supervising assigned unit staff, provides training and guidance to therapists and interns in addition to managing the day to day unit schedule and activities. The Program Manager contributes to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and quality improvement efforts while ensuring unit is in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree specializing in Counseling or Social Work related field. Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred. Licensure: Current LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, license issued by the State of Texas. Additional Requirements: Completion Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of THE JOINT COMMISSION/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.
