Job description

Physical Therapy Assistant
Location: Providence, RI
Agency: Pioneer Healthcare Services
Pay: $1,321 to $1,362 per week
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours
Start Date: 8/14/2026

About the Position

If you're interested in making a significant impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility - SNF setting this Providence, RI position might be what you are looking for!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
  • Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Qualifications:
  • Completion of accredited PTA program
  • Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
  • RI PTA licensure/certification
  • First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Job details:
