An SCM Analyst plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid maturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. The analyst integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test‑driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. They implement provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or cloud distribution, and function with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. They ensure implementation of SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Software Configuration Analyst – Level 4 This role is located in Aurora, CO. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and generate configured builds for test and delivery. Communicate issues and risks pertaining to issues, solutions, and releases. Administer the software CM tools (including installation, upgrades, and maintenance). Facilitate and scribe for control board meetings, creating build and delivery documentation, and process improvement activities. Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products. Possess understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards as required. Conduct and support internal and external customer audits. Generate metrics and code counts for program management and proposal efforts. Multi‑task and complete tasks with a sense of urgency. Work in an office environment during normal business hours; occasional late shifts or on‑call remote work may be requested. Communicate effectively and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot system issues and prevent downtime. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI at the time of application. Experience with Linux. Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software. Experience working with Docker containers. Ability to identify the needs to build automation, designing and implementing CI/CD solutions. Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels. Experience in software configuration management. Experience coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery. Preferred Qualifications Experience with developing microservices. Experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts. Experience with Agile development. Excellent technical writing and team building skills. Experience with SW CM branching strategies & tagging, pull requests, merges, and build versioning. Experience administering centralized document repositories such as SharePoint, Confluence, or Documentum, including access control management. Proficiency in defining and enforcing configuration baselines for source code, libraries, build scripts, and release packages. Hands‑on experience with version control systems beyond Git (e.g., Perforce, SVN) and implementing robust branching/merging strategies. Demonstrated ability to track and record change control items (CR, MR, PR) and maintain comprehensive change control logs. Ability to produce and maintain configuration status reports for audit reviews and release gate checkpoints. Experience implementing document numbering schemes, revision tracking, and approval workflow processes. Knowledge of periodic document review practices, including retirement of obsolete documents and archiving historic versions. Providing day‑to‑day developer support: branch creation, merge conflict resolution, and access provisioning. Creating traceability matrices and compiling evidence of compliance to support internal and external audits. Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 – $193,900.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
