Department Managers are an integral part of the Safety Component's management team. They are responsible for directing all manufacturing activities of the shift to include safety, quality, production, efficiency and employee relations in a manner that meets the operation's production goal and customer commitments. Facilitating strong communication and good teamwork are key elements of the position, as well as ensuring that all policies & procedures are applied consistently and achieve plant standards in the areas of safety, production, quality, waste and cost.

Demonstrated leadership and track record of developing and managing highly effective teams.
Ability to work across all levels of team members from hourly to senior management.
Good written and verbal skills.
Team player with an innovative approach and desire to continuously improve operations; prior experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement operations a plus.
