Responsibilities:
We are looking for an energetic person who is ready to join us to take our restaurant to the next level. The main responsibility as a member of our truck team is to transfer the stock of delivered pallets to the correct shelves while following the FIFO (first in, first out) method. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise and maintain the accuracy of inventory, organization, and supply levels to ensure the right amount of items are in stock.
- Unload trucks and restock storage shelves, freezers, and refrigerators.
- Clean and organize stock and storage areas.
- Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards with protocols for maintenance and cleaning of stock and inventory.
- Coordinate with kitchen leader on inventory changes and cleaning tasks.
- Ensure that missing inventory items are accurately accounted for and that communication regarding missing items to kitchen leaders is prompt.
- Identify low stock items and work on a solution to borrow items if necessary.
- Team members are expected to be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Job Qualifications (required):
- Reliable transportation
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to work independently and follow given instructions.
- Must work well in a team and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
- Must be comfortable working indoors + outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must understand basic food safety and must comply with all corporate, unit, and state or federal policies.
- Must be able to obtain a food handlers card for the city of Portsmouth.
