The curriculum is already designed. The AI handles content delivery. Your role is to help a child believe in capabilities they never knew they had. At Alpha, students finish their academic coursework in only two hours per day through adaptive learning systems. This gives Guides the freedom to focus on transformational work: cultivating confidence, grit, communication skills, and the drive to embrace difficult challenges. You won’t be presenting lessons from the front of a room; instead, you’ll coach students through obstacles, recognize achievements, and demonstrate what rigorous standards look like when combined with authentic support. What You Will Be Doing Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that guide K-3 students toward mastery of communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other enduring skills through hands‑on engagement rather than traditional instruction. Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure every child remains on course for challenging weekly learning targets. Evaluate life‑skill proficiency using Alpha’s Test2Pass system, continuing to coach students until they show genuine mastery—not merely attendance. Tailor your coaching approach to meet the developmental requirements of your cohort, which might include songs, physical activity, and narratives for younger students or increased autonomy and responsibility for older ones. Establish relationships in which students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond their perceived limitations. What You Won’t Be Doing Instructing academic content from a whiteboard. Students complete academic work using adaptive technology. Creating curriculum materials from the ground up. You’ll refine and customize established playbooks rather than designing lessons independently. Observing students as they work quietly on devices. Your function is hands‑on coaching, encouragement, and engagement. Reducing standards when students face difficulty. Progress results from supporting students to meet the objective, not adjusting the objective downward. Overseeing homework, evaluating assignments, or conducting standard parent outreach. Learning Coach Key Responsibilities Develop a cohort of K-3 students who are enthusiastic about attending school, regularly meet challenging learning targets, and gain the life skills that equip them to flourish well beyond elementary education.
