Responsibilities Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit. Order and control inventory, ensure product quality, and supervise the Bakery team. Execute merchandise rotation and build displays. Monitor incoming cases for damaged items. Deliver excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery products. Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment. Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and enforce them with the Bakery team. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8‑hour shift; transfer trays up to 5 lbs. and items up to 40 lbs. without mechanical assistance. Qualifications At least 18 years old with a minimum of two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience. Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule. Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to give and receive direction in a team environment. Ability to answer phones and take special orders. Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing of the department. Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed; accurately weigh and label products. Adhere to safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations, and maintain a Food Handlers permit. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $17.55 – $24.55 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
