Overview Sentara Imaging Center at Sentara BelleHarbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Part Time, Day Shift. Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Responsibilities Conduct general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including positioning of patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology. Prepare, dose manage and administer radiopharmaceuticals; operate radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems; prepare patient room/equipment. Provide patient and family education; maintain adequate supply inventory. Explain examination procedures and discharge instructions to patients and complete departmental documentation. Comply with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation; perform quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by state, federal, and local agencies.
