About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, multi-year philanthropy strategy. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in philanthropy, at least 8 years' of progressive leadership experience, and a strong understanding of donor engagement strategies. The VP will be instrumental in advancing the organization's mission, championing a transformative fundraising campaign, and ensuring that all philanthropic partnerships reflect the values of dignity, trust, and mutual respect. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Philanthropy include inspiring and leading a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, and partnering with various departments to ensure cohesive donor journeys. The ideal candidate will have a background in international development or global nonprofit work, be adept at cultivating relationships with high-net-worth donors, and have a data-informed, results-driven approach to fundraising. They should also be familiar with CRM systems and have exceptional communication and presentation skills. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree or certifications preferred, and the ability to travel, including occasional international trips. A passion for the mission and a leadership style aligned with the organization's values are essential.
