Description Implement the organization's tax strategy to optimize the amount of tax the company pays and ensure it complies with all relevant local and international tax laws and regulations. Direct tax-related activities in accordance with the tax strategy to ensure the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives. Activities may include: tax planning; research; compliance; reporting and filings; auditing; and communicating with external tax agencies. Evaluate activities, policies, practices, and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Ensure all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Advise senior management on tax matters and on the potential impact of laws and regulations on the operation of the organization. Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of tax professionals to ensure the organization's tax strategy is implemented accurately and consistently and in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and standards. Responsibilities Supervise and manage work of multiple direct reports across various tax types Responsible for detail review of federal, state and local tax-exempt and for-profit tax returns and related filings Provide primary support for System Director of Tax in tax compliance and consulting matters Manage the annual ASC740 (FIN48) process of information gathering and analysis, and work with the outside auditors during their analysis Ability to engage peers and other appropriate individuals in gathering required information, and in managing the tax compliance process Provide back-up for other individuals in Tax Department, as needed Other duties as assigned by System Director of Tax Requirements Bachelor's Degree Work Schedule 7AM - 5PM Work Type Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr
