School Psychologist | Pueblo Of Acoma, New Mexico

Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ growth and success through high-impact psychological services. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist to provide vital support during both the Extended School Year (ESY) program in June 2026 and throughout the regular 2026–2027 academic year.

In this position, you will offer direct counseling services to students, perform comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, and serve as an integral team member during IEP meetings. You’ll be a resource for both staff and the wider school community, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. The position begins June 1, 2026, with ESY counseling sessions once a week (about four hours per week) for the month of June, then transitions to 2–3 days per week (approximately six hours per day) from August 2026 through June 2027 during the regular school year.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Active psychologist license
• Experience in conducting psychoeducational and psychological evaluations
• Familiarity with or interest in working within the Bureau of Indian Education framework
• Strong organizational abilities for managing evaluations, documentation, and compliance
• Sound knowledge of special education protocols and IEP development
• Collaborative spirit, with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver counseling services to students during ESY and the regular academic year
• Complete psychoeducational evaluations for Special Education eligibility and Gifted/Talented placement
• Accurately maintain and submit required service logs and documentation
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide consultative support and general psychological guidance to staff and the school community
