Work Hours per week: up to 20.0

Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00

What our office does:

CSN Libraries provides multiple library resources to CSN students, faculty, staff and the general public using excellent customer service skills

Position Summary

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:

• Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone

• Maintaining cleanliness of library space

• Data entry and minor troubleshooting of computers/printers/copiers

• Assisting walk-in students

• Organizing library materials on/off main library floor

• Helping with circulation of materials in/out of library

• Additional duties as assigned

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs:

• Communication, English, Sociology and Business Administration.

Required Qualifications:

• Computer experience required

• Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed

• Ability to push heavy book carts up to, but not limited to, 50 pounds

• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time

• Dependability and punctuality required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer service skills preferred

• Friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn

• Ability to work effectively in diverse multicultural environments

• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy

• Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.

• Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.

• Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.

• Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.

• * Student's cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
