Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health Job Description Job Title Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Kennewick, Washington. This role involves providing essential rehabilitation services within a home health setting, focusing on improving patient mobility, function, and overall quality of life in their own environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a supervising Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, educating patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on patient recovery and independence within the comfort of their homes. Key Responsibilities Implement physical therapy treatment plans as established by a supervising Physical Therapist. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities to restore strength, range of motion, and balance. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and the use of adaptive equipment. Monitor patient progress, document observations, and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards of physical therapy practice. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a home health setting. Ability to travel to patient homes within the Kennewick, WA service area.
