Alliance for Clean Energy New York
About ACE NY: The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
organization that serves as the premier multi-technology renewable energy industry
organization for New York State. ACE NYs members include environmental, civic, educational,
and labor organizations, as well as for-profit companies engaged in the development and
operation of land-based wind power, solar power, hydroelectric, and offshore wind power
facilities, and companies engaged in electricity transmission, electric vehicle manufacturing,
energy efficiency contracting, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, plus consulting to or
supporting the clean energy industry. ACE NYs mission is to promote the use of clean,
renewable electricity technologies and energy efficiency in New York state, in order to increase
energy diversity and security, boost economic development, improve public health, and
reduce air pollution. Its Board of Directors consists of clean energy companies and national
and state environmental organizations.
Position Overview: The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) seeks a full or part-time
Clean Energy Graduate Fellow for remote or hybrid employment in our Albany, N.Y. office.
The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) is seeking a Graduate level Clean Energy
Fellow to assist in our work promoting renewable energy, transportation electrification and
energy efficiency in New York. The Fellow would be assisting ACE NY staff in conducting
research and analysis of clean energy policies and energy market analysis; drafting comments
for the biennial review of the Clean Energy Standard, drafting white papers, developing written
outreach materials regarding our clean energy policy goals; and assisting with day-to-day ACE
NY activities.
Qualifications: This position is open to those who have recently completed their graduate
studies with a degree in environmental studies, energy policy, public policy with an
environmental, climate or energy focus, or a related field, and to current graduate students
seeking a degree in the above mentioned fields, with a demonstrated interest in clean energy
policy. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in energy markets or energy
policy or renewable origination, and who possess strong communication skills. Applicants still
in graduate school should consult with academic faculty to determine if this paid experience
will earn credit. Applicant must reside in New York State for the duration of the fellowship.
Salary range: $20/hour
