Job Overview Position: SOUS CHEF (full time) Location: 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Schedule: Monday‑Friday, with weekends as needed. Pay: $23.00‑$25.00 per hour. Requirements: Prior ordering, inventory, QA, and culinary experience. Job Summary Helps Executive Chef prepare and cook foods. Coordinates activities of cooks and other food‑service associates. Assumes responsibility for the kitchen and food‑service associates in the absence of the Executive Chef. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards, ensuring deadlines are met. Supervises hourly food‑service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary recommendations. Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food‑safety and sanitation procedures. Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintaining appropriate serving temperatures. Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, keeping workstations clean. Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers. Keeps up with peak production and service hours. Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies; tracks consumption and waste, informing supervisor when supplies are low. Performs other duties as assigned.
