Associate General Counsel, Energy

A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel, Origination & Commercial to provide legal support for utility-scale energy storage projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate offtake agreements and support M&A due diligence and negotiations

Review requests for proposals and develop comprehensive bid submittals

Oversee Outside Counsel on select transactions and assist in their selection

Required Qualifications

J.D. degree is required

3-4 years of experience in a top-tier law firm focusing on renewable energy project development

1-2 years of in-house legal experience with a renewable energy developer or utility preferred

Experience in negotiating power purchase agreements and project-scale M&A transactions

Knowledge of project finance structures and implications for project development
