Senior Data Engineer
Location : Milwaukee, WI Hybrid
Salary : up to $190,000 - total compensation
Overview
My client, a Leading brand in there is searching for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for design, development, and support of data pipelines from multiple applications.
You will partner with teams across the business to help develop data driven insights and make data-driven decisions.
Senior Data Engineer Key responsibilities
- Develop SQL code to integrate and transform data from multiple sources into useful, consistent, and easily consumable data elements.
- Continuously enhance and support data pipelines in the production environment, with a keen understanding of business priorities.
Address issues promptly and with a sense of urgency.
- Lead offshore developers, providing direction and guidance on development and support processes.
- Perform and lead the code reviews to identify coding, process and functionality improvements.
- Work on troubleshooting, identifying issues and performance bottlenecks, problem solving and impact analysis.
- Engage in troubleshooting to identify issues and performance bottlenecks, conduct problem-solving activities, and perform impact analysis.
- Adhere to the Scrum methodology, taking ownership of Jira stories throughout the development cycle.
Senior Data Engineer Previous experience.
- Strong Python or SQL experience
- Previous experience working with the cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Experience working with ETL and SQL development.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of autonomously addressing issues and devising optimal solutions.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as ability to work within a team.
- Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
