Registered Nurse – PCU / Progressive Care Unit (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform and monitor drip titrations and post-cath lab care
- Operate and interpret EKG monitoring and BiPAP equipment
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
- Operate Welch Allyn vital signs equipment and Alaris IV pumps in daily patient care
- Fulfill weekend rotation requirements of 2–3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but must be adaptable to electronic health record systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nurse experience in a PCU or progressive care setting
- Familiarity with post-cath lab patient management and drip titration protocols
- Experience operating BiPAP equipment and EKG monitoring in a clinical setting
