It's a journey on which you rise.Starting Hiring Salary Range: $71K-$85K + Bonus OpportunityYour RoleThe Customs Brokerage Import Supervisor I oversees daily customs brokerage operations to ensure the accurate, compliant, and timely clearance of import and export shipments. This role supervises brokerage staff, enforces compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and serves as a key liaison between clients, government agencies, and internal teams.What Are You Going To Do?Supervise daily customs brokerage activities, including entry filings, classifications, valuations, and duty paymentsEnsure timely clearance of shipments while meeting customer service expectationsReview and approve customs entries for accuracy and regulatory complianceEnsure adherence to CBP regulations, FDA, USDA, EPA, and other applicable government agency requirementsStay current on changes in customs laws, trade agreements, tariffs, and compliance standardsSupport audits, prior disclosures, and internal compliance reviewsTrain, mentor, and supervise customs brokerage staffAssign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are metConduct performance evaluations and support employee developmentServe as escalation point for complex shipments or compliance issuesCommunicate with clients regarding customs requirements, delays, or regulatory concernsBuild and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance processesSupport implementation of new systems, procedures, or regulatory changesCollaborate with sales, operations, and compliance teams to support business goalsWhat Are We Looking For?Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 3–5 years of customs brokerage experiencePrior supervisory or lead experience preferredCertificationsU.S. Customs Broker License preferred or in progressKnowledge & SkillsIn?depth knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export proceduresExperience with HTS classification, valuation, and country?of?origin determinationProficiency with customs brokerage software and MS OfficeStrong leadership, organizational, and problem?solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesWhat Do We Have To Offer?With a genuine culture of recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
