Days Start times are flexible base on the unit Start Date: 10/20/2026 Contract: 13 Weeks Location: Lawton, OK Hourly Pay: $ 22.00 Non-taxed Stipend: $ 707.00 Weekly Total Pay: $ 1367.00 SCRUB COLOR: Red Traveler Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address must be indicated COTA to work on the Inpatient rehab unit or the acute care unit. Rehab averages 12 pts. There are options for co treats with PTA in acute care. Key Responsibilities Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices; etc. Under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Assesses patient’s progress and communicates with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist. Provides consultation and to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the cognitive and/or physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to supervisor for discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc. Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences. Able to work with supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist. Adherence to NBCOT / AOTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Active State Licensure/Registration when applicable. Compensation Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible) Pay package details provided upon offer Requirements Must have recent traveler experience Will accept new grads New Grads OKAY- as long as a Level II experience and not just a Level I observation experience Texas COTA license is required; Compact Allowed Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment Effective team skills, including interaction, support, and respect are required. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent communication skills , professionalism, and reliability Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
