We are actively looking for Construction Project Managers to support our project in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This is an on-site role.

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can lead multiple stakeholders toward common objectives, and has a proven track record managing mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and client handover.
This role is responsible for managing all phases of data center project delivery, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, construction oversight, quality assurance, safety compliance, risk management, and project closeout. The Construction Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between owners, design teams, contractors, utility providers, commissioning agents, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects from concept through completion.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Provide day-to-day construction oversight and leadership across all project phases.
- Coordinate activities among architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, utility providers, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
- Facilitate project meetings, document meeting minutes, track action items, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Analyze project performance and develop reports related to schedule, cost, safety, quality, procurement, and risk management.
- Review contract documents, construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Lead change management efforts, including evaluation, negotiation, and approval of change orders and claims.
- Review and approve contractor invoices, payment applications, and cost forecasts.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Manage project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, earned value tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate commissioning activities and ensure successful startup, testing, and turnover of mission-critical systems.
- Support utility coordination and infrastructure implementation, including electrical transmission, substations, fiber networks, water systems, and site utilities.
- Lead resolution of complex construction, logistical, and operational challenges within active project environments.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Utilize project management and construction technology platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and related project controls software.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of construction project management experience involving large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing all phases of construction project delivery, including preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling techniques, contract administration, and project controls.
- Experience managing contractor performance, change orders, cost controls, risk mitigation, and payment application reviews.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams in fast-paced and schedule-driven environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
- Ability to travel as required to support project demands.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager role leading projects valued at $50 million or greater.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data center, colocation, mission-critical, semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, or advanced technology construction projects.
- Direct involvement in large-scale data center campus developments exceeding 50 MW of critical capacity.
- Experience with MEP systems, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, substations, backup generation, UPS systems, chilled water systems, and mission-critical facility operations.
- Experience delivering projects utilizing EPC, EPCM, Design-Build, or Construction Management delivery methods.
- PMP, CCM, PE, or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and related construction technology platforms.
- Familiarity with hyperscale client standards and mission-critical construction best practices.

What Success Looks Like
The successful Construction Project Manager will deliver data center projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards and client satisfaction. This individual will be a trusted leader capable of managing complex project environments, driving collaboration among stakeholders, and supporting the successful delivery of critical infrastructure for hyperscale technology clients.
Preferred Candidate Profile: Experience managing construction projects ranging from $100 million to $1 billion+, including hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, large industrial developments, or advanced manufacturing facilities. Experience working directly with major technology companies, cloud service providers, or data center developers is highly desirable.
Posted Salary Range: Minimum $73,500.00 to Upper $101,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
